Part 1: The Problem - Can ChatGPT really help with data analysis that can be used for SEO?

I have a website that sells demographic analysis reports, ideal for those looking to find the best small business locations or for people moving to new neighborhoods. The site is adept at conducting detailed demographic analyses and creating visualizations of census data.
To drive more traffic to my site, I've started creating content featuring these visualizations. The goal is to produce interesting visualizations and analyses that organically attract an audience.
One of my first projects involves showcasing the richest neighborhoods in top U.S. cities. I can generate maps showing the census block groups with the highest median household incomes in these major cities. I think these will be interesting and useful for my audience. One problem that I have is I need to go into each city and look at the map and do a write up. I will need to answer questions like where the affluent neighborhoods are located and whether there are discernible patterns. Also it would be nice to have some sort of introduction about the city we are looking at.
This is where ChatGPT comes into play. The question I have is, "Can I upload maps into ChatGPT and have it generate insightful analyses based on these visualizations?" I want the content to not only help users in understanding the maps, but also create searchable and indexable content for search engines.
Here’s my map for Phoenix, AZ. Pink areas are highest median household income areas (census block groups in census lingo). The numbers on the block groups is their income ranking. The lowr the number the higher the income.

Here we’d like content to note that most rich neighborhoods are to the northeast of the city center. There’s clustering around Paradise Valley and another cluster around North Scottsdale. We’d like to talk about these are areas that have large lots with mountain scenery. We’d also like to talk about there’s pockets of affluent neighborhoods to the South In Chandler and Ahwatukee.

Let’s see what ChatGpt 4 can do:
I paste a screenshot of the map to chatGpt 4 and put the following prompt. You’ll need a paid subscription.
“this is a map of phoenix and the pink shaded areas are the highest median income locations. can you do a write about how these pink areas are distributed directionally. talk about if there's clusters of rich sections. Use location names from the map that you can parse. also talk about any patterns you can observe for the rich neighborhoods.”

and here’s what chat Gpt comes up with
The map you've provided is of the Phoenix metropolitan area, and the pink shaded areas denote regions with the highest median income.
Observing the map, the affluent areas are mainly distributed towards the northeastern parts of Phoenix. There's a significant cluster of high-income neighborhoods in and around the Scottsdale area, which is known for its upscale living, shopping, and dining. This cluster extends from just north of the Arizona State Route 202 Loop and spreads northward, encompassing areas like Paradise Valley, a town known for its luxury homes and resorts.
The northeastern cluster stretches up towards the McDowell Mountain Regional Park and Fountain Hills, suggesting that the higher median income areas are also associated with proximity to natural attractions and recreational areas.
There's also a notable pink area to the west, around the Peoria region, and slightly northwest of Glendale. However, this cluster seems less dense compared to the northeastern concentration.
A pattern that seems to emerge is that these higher-income areas are located away from the urban core of Phoenix and Tempe. They are spread along the peripheries of the city, which may suggest a preference for suburban or semi-rural living conditions that offer more space and privacy, which are typically associated with higher property values.
In terms of the directionality of these areas, they are predominantly to the north and east of Phoenix's central business district. The southern and western parts of the city, as visible on the map, have fewer pink areas, indicating a lower median income in those directions.
Lastly, the map doesn't show high median income areas directly within the city center of Phoenix or Tempe, which could be due to a variety of urban factors, including higher population density, commercial zoning, and less availability of single-family homes, which tend to drive median income figures upward in suburban settings.

This is very promising. ChatGpt correctly identified rich neighborhoods and detected clusters and patterns. In general I believe this is useful content that compliments the map visualization for non technical users.
Next questions to answer:
  • Will it really help with google’s rankings? Does Google like Ai generated content?
  • How can I improve the prompts?
  • Can I automate this?
